Heelarious- High Heels for Baby Girls
June 18th, 2008

I saw this ‘twit’ by fellow Twitter, Fashion Fling, on Twitter today. I just had to check it out as I couldn’t wrap my mind around the concept of high heels for babies.
Heelarious®, the a soft high-heeled crib shoes, was the brain child of Britta Bacon & Hayden Porter, childhood friends turned business partners. It is designed for babies up to 6 months old (strictly for crawlers as the heel is collapsibility and does not bear weight). It is available online and in stores for about 35USD.
I can see its novelty and how it can be cute and funny. However, should I ever have a daughter or niece, I’d be more inclined to buy them their very first sports running shoes.
What do you think? Would you buy your daughter/neice/granddaughter their first high heels?
My very own Nadia PLesner's Simple Living T-Shirt
June 17th, 2008
Some of you may remember my first post on Nadia Plesner and her Simple Living Design for the the Divest for Darfur campaign. I went to visit her website that very same day and placed an order for one of her shirts. It has been weeks since then that I wrote it off.
I read an update that she had suspended all sales until a resolution could be achieved. So I gathered that I was simply too late.
However, lo and behold, today I was very surprised to receive a package from Sweden. Yup- it was my T-shirt! I guess it was slipped in the last batch.
I absolutely adore the T-Shirt. My only regret was not ordering 2. 1 to wear out and the other to frame (why didn’t I think of that?). As it turned out, Ms. Plesner has dropped the bag from her design. She has chosen not to expend energy fighting the cashed up LV as that will be detracting from her focus which is Darfur. I respect her decision.
Ms. Plesner does however intend to continue to raise money for the campaign and will be releasing new designs soon. I very much look forward to that.

Emo Hairstyle

Speaking of hairstyles, according to BestStuff, Emo Hairstyle is all the rage. Just think Green Day or My Chemical Romance.
EmoHairsyles.org explains Emo hair as long or short dark hair cut ”razor straight” with ”one sided bangs” and slashes of bold highlights.
I quite like the emo style (even over the infamous Jennifer Aniston aka Monica layers). The asymmetrical fringe suits my round face plus I have naturally dark hair. Cool!
